It’ll Be A Busy Month…

Sorry we have been a little quiet the last month, we’ve been busy being “Artists” and creating new sounds for you.  In other words, we’ve been jamming (messing about) in the studio for a month and seeing what happens.

February has come around fast, so this means we’ve been getting down to business and rehearsing hard for two performances this month. Yes you read correctly TWO performances!

The First is on Saturday 21st Feb, at The Pilgrim Pub in London.  We are supporting old mates The Half Light at their ‘Moscow’ Album Launch Night. If you’re in or around the area on the 21st we’d love to see you on what promises to be a special night. It’s free entry and you’ll be able to get your hands on a lovely shiny CD copy of our Fall to pieces EP.

Facebook event page for more details.

If that wasn’t enough, we are headlining our old favourite The Victoria, John Bright Street Birmingham again, on Friday 27th Feb.  Yes a week later! We’ll be playing a longer set with a few new ones so come down and check them out!!

Our New Web Series Is Here…..

We have been thinking long and hard on new things to keep you (our fans) entertained and this is what we came up with.

We are doing a weekly YouTube series and here is Episode #1 of ‘Word of the Week’.

We hope you enjoy.

2014 Our Year….

So, what a year it’s been!

Where do we begin? It’s been an amazing and busy 2014……

The year started with a bang.  January was a busy one. A headline gig at The Loft in Moseley, photo shoots, video shoots, new tunes. We wanted to make the year count. Not only were we writing new tunes, but we finally got our website live!

The Loft

It was also the year when we released our debut single, the only problem we had, was the deciding on which track to release. After much debate, the decision was made. ‘You Don’t Bother Me’ would be the one.

The feedback was positive, not only for the song itself, but for the video too, which was shot in our lovely hometown of Birmingham!

Our thanks go out to Carlton Douglas for shooting and directing such a unique promo!

After the release of ‘You Don’t Bother Me’, it was time for the next step. We performed our first headline performance at The Victoria.  It was one to remember, so good in fact, that we’d definitely play there again.

If things didn’t seem busy enough, BBC Introducing WM selected one of our tracks, ‘Pleased To Meet You’ to be played on their Saturday evening weekly show.  Also, local radio station Switch Radio played both ‘You Don’t Bother Me’ and our second single, ‘Fabio’s Overture’. (Our thanks to Stoo Pittaway: “World Record Holder”, for playing the songs).

‘Fabio’s Overture’ was released in July.

Many thanks to The Patrick Kavanagh Bar for the use of their function room as a location for the Video. We’d also like to thank to James Light for his hard work directing the video for us.

As we entered the second half of the year, it was time to get back into the studio again. We decided to record further tracks, which would end up being part of our debut EP.

1743412_10152870700866754_462941860_nWe booked ourselves back in to Magic Garden Recording Studios in early September. Gavin Monaghan’s production methods, creativity and laid back vibe helped get the best out of us and our music.

After including tracks from our own studio with the tracks we recorded at Magic Garden, we finally had our 6 tracks which include ‘You Don’t Bother Me’ and Fabio’s Overture’.

Named after one of the tracks, ‘Fall To Pieces’ would become the title of the EP.  All we needed was a venue to celebrate the launch of the EP.

.facebook_1414699541503In the meantime, as a taster to the EP, we wanted to let you in and see the other side of Nine Dart Finish. This meant the release of the video for ‘In The City’!

Friday 31st October was the night of our EP launch event.  It was more than we could of asked for.  Busy with old friends, new faces, dancing, singing and making  it a wonderful atmosphere for ourselves to shine.  If we do say so ourselves, we got a top reaction to the new tracks on the EP.

this one[1]To summarise, 2014 has been vigorous!  Top gig’s, three video releases, two singles and a debut EP.  It’s been a busy year for us, but we are aiming to make next year bigger and better than this one. So watch this space for more amazing news from your Nine Dart Finish.

Thanks for all your support it means a lot to us!

We wish you a very happy and lucky New Year…….

Nice To See Some New Faces…..

Now the dust as settled over the weekend, we would like to thank everyone for such an enjoyable evening Friday night and it was great to see some new faces.  The Victoria were amazing hosts once again and thanks goes to Chris Johnson Presents  for letting us headline once more this year.  We would also like to take the time to thank the sound man for the work on the last three headline shows we have performed.  We really enjoyed working with you Richard Mitton and we hope to see you again very soon.

Now, if you could not make it to last Friday’s gig have no fear, we perform again on Friday 19th December! Yes we hear you shout hurrah, but that’s not the best thing, its FREE! So make sure you get to The Bulls Head in Moseley early doors.  You may even get the chance to have a couple of festive drinks with us after, as we are supporting on this performance. Check the flyer below for more details.

So we again would like to thank you for all your support this year and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Love, Nine Dart Finish.

Shussshhh! Top Secret Project…….

We (Nine Dart Finish) are planning an exciting new project and we need you, but shush, it’s a secret.

We hope you understand that we can’t go in to much detail about this project, but we think it’ll be a lot of fun to be involved in.  All we will need of you is to be at a time and place, where the fun will start.

So if you are interested, please contact us with some basic contact details to *protected email* or through our Social Media feeds. We will get back to you in due course with a more detail explanation on what the project actually is.
