Chris Stamp Portrait

The Past Week…

Hola Amigos!

Well where do we start to talk about this week…….. It’s going to have to be at the beginning isn’t it?!

At the start of this week we managed to start the first shoot of ‘Fabio’s Overture’, our next single’s promo Video. Most of the shots are just for the side story that you will see throughout the video. In just under two weeks time we will be filming the rest in a secret location!  All will be revealed to you, as we are looking to release this single for June! So watch this space.

Also this week we have been in the studio working on the set for the Actress and Bishop gig tomorrow night (10th May 2014). It’s a bit of a late notice gig, but we don’t mind as we love turning our amps up and blasting out our rock set for you guys. We’ll be on around 22:00 and it will be £5 on the door, if you contact us you can get a ticket to ensure that you get in!

So stay in touch if you want to know what’s coming up in the next couple of months!

Demo Recording!

Yes peeps, as you’ve been told we’ve been doing “Band Stuff” Yeah boring stuff, but we’ve also been working on some new demo’s in our home studio!

One of these demo’s stuck out and we couldn’t help but share it with you lot! So we have uploaded it to our soundcloud account so you lot can enjoy it in it’s full glory. Click the link to listen to this brand new tune! ‘Fall To Pieces’

So again thanks for all your support and you know where to come for all the latest news on what we are up to.

Switch FM

Nine Dart Finish are going to be on the radio (again!)!!!!!

As lots of you know, we’re using this month of April to get the next single ready for release, shooting a video for the single, getting physical C.D production sorted, planning merchandise, you know… doing band stuff. Generally though, most of the stuff we’ve been doing this month will have gone unnoticed by you lovely people as it’s the quiet (boring) stuff… However,

One thing that definitely shouldn’t be going unnoticed by you lovely people will be happening tomorrow. Tune in to Switch FM between 1 and 4pm to listen to Stoo’s Daytime show (107.5FM in the midlands, or you can listen online here) and listen out for the dulcet tones of Nine Dart Finish.

Plans are afoot!!!

You may think that we’ve been a bit quiet for a while, but that’s only in the public eye. Take this week for example; at the start we got into the studio to work on new material for all of you lovely members of the Nine Dart Finish universe to listen to, highly enjoyable for us as we don’t get to just work on new material that often.

We’ve been for a meeting with the director of the promo video for the (upcoming) second single. We had a good session running through final ideas and locations for this project. We just can’t wait to get this shot and edited for you lot. Fingers crossed it’ll be the middle of May.

Plus we all wanted to revisit some of the home demo recordings we’ve worked on in the past; we felt that we could do more with the ‘Rain’ demo in particular.  So we did a few over dubs and re-mixed the track again.  After a few hours of good hard work (and fun) we ended up with something we were happy with. So, to have a listen please click this link: ‘Rain’ – Re-Mastered.

So even though it seems a bit quiet and that we’re not up to much, think again! We are always doing something to try and entertain our fans.

Thanks again for all your support.

The internet world is talking!!!!

We asked ourselves; what would we want to follow up a great gig at The Victoria last Friday in Birmingham.   … we’re sure that you’d like to know.

Well, we got two great blogs written about us and our debut single.

The first is from Emma Beaumont of the allgoodmusicresemblessomething blog; with a great review of our debut single.  We really enjoyed the read and would like to thank Emma for this great piece (the link for the review is below). While you’re there, check out Emma’s other blog posts, she’s got a lot of interesting things to say!

All Good Music Resembles Something

The second came from the RealSoundsOK blog, which is run by a music journalist called Greg.  Greg contacted us through twitter and wanted us to answer a few questions so, obviously, we said yes.  It was an interesting interview and we had loads of fun answering his questions. So.. if you want to know a bit more about us and what makes us tick, please click the link below for the Q&A Blog.

Don’t forget that, if you haven’t already bought our single, you can buy ‘You don’t bother me’ from Amazon, iTunes and GooglePlay, you can also stream it on Spotify! Click on the Amazon link kere on our website to go straight to it!

Gig day is nearly upon us

Tomorrow we’ll be having a right old knees up at The Victoria on John Bright Street in Birmingham to celebrate our single release. Doors open around 7.30pm. Give us a shout through facebook if you’d like us to reserve you a ticket – £5 entry.

While you’re at it, why not join the mailing list on our website, so we can keep you posted on upcoming gig dates and new releases!

Radio play!! BBC Introducing show!

Wow, what a month we have had!

Firstly, the reaction we’ve had to “You Don’t Bother Me” has been amazing, we couldn’t have asked for more! The reaction to the video on our YouTube channel has been fantastic and it has already reached nearly 2000 views. From this release we’ve had some interest from people across the wonderful world of the interweb, hopefully we can bring them to light for you soon.

We have also been working very hard in the rehearsal studio, getting ready for our upcoming gig. The Victoria should be rocking on the evening of 28th March, which is now only a week away, where we will be performing the single for you (and you’ll even get a sneaky listen to the next single!).

On another note; we have had news from BBC Introducing, our track “Pleased To Meet You” will be played on their BBC Introducing show on BBC radio WM on Saturday 22nd March. The show can be listened to from 8pm – 10pm on 95.6 FM or online. If you have missed it, click this link (Listen Again) This link will only be live up to seven days after broadcast (and obviously you can’t ‘listen again’ until after the show!)

So keep an eye out here, Facebook and Twitter feeds for more details, gigs and events and videos!

Doing band stuff

Sunday isn’t the day of rest for us, we’re doing ‘band stuff’. Inflicting grammatical pain on Chris and toying with his ‘flow’. Not too sure how Chris feels about us messing with his flow but it’s all for a good cause, we’ve got band admin to do and emails to compose to important types.

A lot of you will have bought our debut single this week, and we can’t thank you enough. Make all this hard work worthwhile and get yourselves down to the Victoria on the 28th of this month and let’s end the month in style. You’ll have had plenty of time to listen to the single by then so we’re expecting you all to be singing along!

It’s Single Eve!!!

The sun’s finally back after the winter misery and what better way to celebrate than to buy a copy of ‘You don’t bother me’ – possibly one of the sunniest tracks you’ll hear this year!!

You can pre-order on Amazon now but if you’re the kind of person who likes to (figuratively) queue outside shops waiting for the doors to open then set your alarm for midnight and get shopping. Buy it!!! Buy a copy for your friends, even better, buy one for your Mum – she’ll love it.
